Lavender Field in Provence France Watercolor Painting

Lavender Field in France
I was lucky enough to have a trip to France when I was younger, and I'll never
forget it.  It's so magical.  Everything about it was amazing.
Later, when I started painting, I couldn't resist some of the French
scenes that are still in my memory.
I have prints of this watercolor available.  Just email me at Tranquility@hot.rr.com
and THANK YOU so much for looking !

Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrush and Wild Primrose Watercolor Painting of Texas Wildflowers

Texas Wildflowers
Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrush and Wild Yellow Primrose
Some of our favorite wildflowers.  A casual bouquet in an old glass jar,
my favorite kind of bouquet.  Nothing fancy.
I have made some new prints of this watercolor painting.  If you are interested,
please email me at Tranquility@hot.rr.com
and THANK YOU, as always, for looking at my blog.

Original Watercolor Painting of Bluebonnets Flowers Floral Wildflowers Garden

More Bluebonnets
Here in Texas, we call them Texas Bluebonnets and we act like nobody else has them.
That's not true, though.  They grow in many states, and some people call them
Lupines.  There are different colors, too.  White and pink, for example.
This watercolor is available in my Etsy shop, or you could email me
at Tranquility@hot.rr.com for more information.
Thank You for visiting my blog!

Tomato Original Watercolor Painting Veggie Vegetable

I LOVE to paint little veggie studies.  That's what I do whenever I feel
a bit of "artist's block" coming on.  I start painting simple, colorful little veggies,
and it makes me feel inspired and happy.
I also recommend veggies to every new watercolor student.  Their simple shapes
and bright, clear colors make a terrific learning exercise.
I always have a series of veggie paintings in my Etsy shop, but they are
also available by emailing me at Tranquility@hot.rr.com
I'll post some of my favorite veggies here in the next few blog posts.
THANK YOU so much for looking at my blog!

Texas Bluebonnets in Glass Jar Watercolor Painting

Texas Bluebonnets in Glass Jar

I never, ever get tired of painting Texas Bluebonnets.  I especially like to see them
in a casual country bouquet in an old glass jar.
They are not easy to grow in a garden.  I finally had one this year, and I
sure hope it comes back next year.
This original watercolor is in my Etsy shop.
Thank You for looking!

Red Tulips in Vintage Creamer Watercolor Painting

Red Tulips in Vintage Creamer

I have a small collection of vintage creamers.  There's something about the smaller size
that appeals to me.  I like to think about the ladies who may have used them in
their tea parties many years ago, or maybe the fancy restaurants that used them years
ago.  They are perfect for small casual bouquets of flowers, fresh from the garden.
This was a painting I did a few years ago, but I have prints available in
my Etsy shop.  Thank You so much for visiting my blog!

Hydrangeas Watercolor Painting

Another flower that is difficult to grow, but fun to paint.  A friend of mine
used to have so many of these growing all around her home,
and she could control the color with different types of plant food.
I could hardly believe it!
I wouldn't even attempt that; I'm satisfied just to paint them.
